Roadmap Process

The roadmap is the "source of truth" for project progress and strategic direction.

Structure

  1. Current Status: High-level summary of progress.
  2. Completed: Bulleted list of finished milestones or major features.
  3. Next Steps: Immediate priorities for the next 1-2 sessions.
  4. Milestone Progress: Detailed breakdown of each milestone.
  5. Implementation Details: Technical patterns used in the milestone.
  6. Risk Register: Active and resolved risks.

Update Frequency

  • Every Session: Update the "Next Steps" and "Current Status".
  • On Milestone Completion: Move items from "In Progress" to "Completed" and add a summary of what was built.
  • On Feature Completion: Check off granular tasks.

Maintenance

  • Once a milestone is "Delivered" and "Closed", relevant documents in docs/planning/ should be archived if they are no longer living documents.
  • docs/planning/roadmap.md should be kept as the single entry point for project status.

Narrative Alignment

The roadmap should demonstrate: - Leader Role: Strategic planning and execution. - Professional Role: Ethical risk management. - Scholar Role: Methodological rigor.
